I recently read The Work of Leaders by Straw, Scullard, Kukkonen, and Davis. A book about the VAE model of leadership, created after interviewing and studying hundreds of high-level executives and leaders. I created this video to be an entertaining visual introduction to the VAE model and how to best approach leading others.
The VAE model directly relates to the DiSC leadership evaluation. A test similar to the Meyer’s Briggs Personality test but evaluating an individual’s leadership style, strengths and weaknesses, and synergy with others. Each letter in the DiSC Assessment corresponds to the four categories of leadership styles; Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. The assessment finds your place on a four-quadrant spectrum of leadership styles and areas you could improve. To learn more about DiSC, click here.
